The Nokia 7 smartphone has been the subject of several leaks and rumors so far, but today the HMD Global has finally put all the leaks and rumors of its latest phone to rest. The Nokia 7 smartphone is officially official in China. The main highlight of the smartphone is that it comes with glass back support. It is a vacuum molded 3D Corning Gorilla Glass construction no less. The smartphone’s frame is 7000 series aluminium with diamond cut bevelled edges.

The newly arrived smartphone comes with IP54 certification that means the device is splashproof and protect it from being damaged. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 octa core processor, which is having a clock frequency of 2.2 GHz. The smartphone is equipped with 4GB or 6GB of RAM along with 64GB built-in storage. If you need more space you can put a microSD card for further storage expansion that will boast you phone’s storage up to 256GB.

Moving on to the display, the smartphone features a 5.2 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with the screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. The phone is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 at the front of the device, which prevents it from scratches. In terms of camera, there is a 16 megapixel rear camera with f/1.8 aperture and dual tone LED flash. While for selfies, there is a 5 megapixel front facing camera with f/2.0 aperture.

The connectivity options included Wi0Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, LTE Cat 6, and a USB type-C port for charging and data transferring. There is also a fingerprint sensor for added security. The smartphone runs on the seventh generation Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system that claimed to upgrade with an Oreo operating system very soon.

Regarding the battery, the smartphone houses a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery that comes with the support for 18W fast charging. In terms of price, the Nokia with 4GB RAM model priced at CNY 2,499 (around $377 or €320), while the 6GB RAM model will retail for CNY 2,699 ($407 or €345). The smartphone will available for purchase in China starting on October 24 and there is no word on when the phone will be sold in other countries.
