slept through the whole tropical storm -- best night of sleep I've had in weeks. lost a bunch of small limbs and 1 sick tree. not too bad

evacuated from work at noon, and finally caught a nap. now awake and expect stay that way until tomorrow morning when the storm is passed

classes canceled tomorrow in wait for hurricane, emergency notification systems activated, I'm on call 24/7. new gig starting with a bang.
after 3/4 of a day spent in hurricane preparation meetings, I'm really starting to hate the names Hannah and Ike

finally reached the top of the mountain of work that was waiting for me at the new gig. Unfortunately now have 1.5 days of orientation...

dogs just about succeeded in spraining my other ankle. at least now i know that if they crippled me they would stay with me until i got help

looks like i somwhow sprained the top of my foot. Big ugly bruise and hurts to walk.
not sure if I'm ready to re-live my past via Facebook yet. Things have changed a lot since high school.

trying to get this new workflow down. not succeeding.
holy crap, trying to learn my way around IIS, Outlook and a PC is sapping all my energy. That and the fecking heat index of 110 degrees.

is messing things up already at the new job. pretty soon they'll give me permissions so that I can fix them myself...
took the dogs on a walk of about 1 mile, now we're all laying in front of the air conditioner vent. this heat is going to kill me.
